George S. Boutwell (Massachusetts). Served as Secretary of the Treasury 1869-1873 during the Administration of U.S. Grant. Signature nicely matted with b/w glossy photo.....$95

Howell Cobb (Georgia) 1851-1854. President Buchanan's Secretary of the Treasury and also served as Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives. Cobb served as presiding officer of the First Provisional Confederate Congress and barely missed the presidency of the Confederate States. During the War, he was a Confederate general who fought at Antietam and by the end of the War was a Major General in command of the District of Georgia. Offered here is a signature as Secretary of the Treasury skillfully matted with a copy of a steel plate engraving.....$145

Oliver Ellsworth (Connecticut), member of the Continental Congress 1777-1783 serving on the Board of Treasury (among others). The Board of Treasury was the preceding agency to the Department of the Treasury which was formed September 2, 1789. Shown here is his signature matted with a steel plate engraving. Not seen but underneath the mat is a 1781 draft from the Connecticut Pay Table Office ordering payment which Ellsworth has endorsed. Ellsworth was also the 3rd Chief Justice of the Supreme Court nominated by George Washington.....$250

William P. Fessenden (Maine) served in the cabinet of Abraham Lincoln as Secretary of the Treasury from July 1864 to March of 1865. Offered here is a signed photographic CDV of the Civil War period......$395

Franklin MacVeagh (Pennsylvania) Served as Secretary of the Treasury 1909- 1913 within the Woodrow Wilson Cabinet. Nice signature card imprinted "The Secretary of the Treasury" matted with a b/w glossy photograph.....$85

Hugh McCulloch (Maine) Served two non-consecutive terms as U.S. Treasury Secretary in the Cabinets of three Presidents - Abraham Lincoln, Andrew Johnson, and Chester A. Arthur. Present is his signature "Hugh McCulloch" neatly matted beneath a vintage steel plate engraving.....$125

Lot Morrill (Maine) Served as Secretary of the Treasury 1876-1877 in the Cabinet of U.S. Grant. Morrill was also Governor of Maine 1858-1860 and and a member of Congress serving as US Senator 1861-1877. Offered here is the signed closing of a letter "Yours Truly, L.M.Morrill" matted with a b/w glossy photograph......$75

Francine Neff (New Mexico) Served as U.S. Treasurer 1974-77 in the Cabinet of Richard Nixon and then Gerald Ford. Nice 5" x 7" b/w glossy photograph signed "Francine I. Neff U.S. Treasurer" matted with one of the first year Bicentennial two dollar bills which bares her engraved signature as Treasurer. Mat is open on the reverse for viewing the design of John Trumbull's famous painting "The Signing of the Declaration of Independence".....$95

John Wesley Snyder (Arkansas) served as U.S. Secretary of the Treasury from 1946-1953 in the Cabinet of Harry S. Truman. Offered here is a steel plate engraving titled "The Treasury Department" autographed by Snyder neatly matted in linen with a crisp 1935 D Series one dollar bill which bares his engraved signature. The reverse of the bill is open and you can see does NOT bare the quote "In God We Trust". This stirred up quite a controversy in its day resulting in the quote being restored to the currency as it does today......$95
